OBJECTIVE

STEP RIGHT UP!

Since 1983, Friends of We Care has raised over $18,500,000 to send kids with disabilities to summer camp. The 2015 “Friends of We Care Gala” is one of the major events that supports their vision. Freeman Audio Visual gave the room a carnival-like atmosphere to give the guests a true Vintage Circus experience. The evening’s highlights included live music and acrobatic performances, carnival games, a fortune teller, and a silent auction.

Freeman was able to replicate the look and feel of a vintage circus with exceptional ability. Live music filled the circus-themed room and truly set the stage for live acrobat performers to show off their talent.

SOLUTIONS

LET THE SHOW BEGIN!

The Freeman team was thrilled to design the entire Vintage Circus experience, as it was a challenging and exciting opportunity.

The event had two distinct rooms to offer a unique experience to guests: an activity lounge, and a dining room.

Guests enter the venue through a classic carnival-style entrance adorned with a red and white tent.

The activity lounge was designed to be fun and engaging. Guests were able to participate in the silent auction and fun carnival games. The decor’s main focus was two grand circus tent peaks. Red and white poly silk fabric dressed two 32′ diameter truss circles to create the effect of a tent peak.

The main stage was a half-circle to give the crowd the most pleasing view from any angle. The sides of the main stage were painted with a faux-antique texture and imagery to create a realistic Vintage Circus experience.

The silent auction is a major highlight for member sponsors and other guests. Freeman used the Daana System to connect the bids from iPads to the main screen.

The dining room had a more intimate feel with soft lighting and draped silk and crystal curtains from the ceiling. Guests were ensured optimal visibility through the placement of a 12’x36’ screen above the main stage, and four 9’x16’ screens throughout the room. Guests could enjoy the tastes of the circus with top culinary creations matched with a unique wine pairing.

RESULTS
